Our use of aged wood fines does make our soils look different than peat-based soils. We use aged wood fines for three reasons -
1.) Adds structure to the soil which helps air and water penetrate deeper into the soil, helping with root development for greater plant health.
2.) Helps retain moisture to reduce the need to water frequently.
3.) Wood fines are a more sustainable resource than peat moss, providing more benefits for organic soils.
